Movie Trailers Review For Bruno

By Henrey Koperpark

I watched the movie trailer for Bruno and decided to give this movie a try.

First off, let me say that the first time I watched Borat, I was pretty ho-hum about it. The The second time of seeing it was much funnier. That said, this was pretty much a garbage movie.

I know there are fans who will say Sacha Baron Cohen does a great job at whatever he does. To me, not the case.

To me what made Borat funny is even in all his wildness he had a certain amount of innocence about him, coming to another country, exploring cultures.

It was just sexual dancing flopping his dong around, and seeing how far they could push sexual humor. Bruno did have a few funny parts, the parts where he was really interacting with people instead of very obvious staged scenarios. The hunting sequence was very funny, as well as parts of the karate scene and the national guard scene.

Brunos humor seems to try to come from being offensive. I don't get offended easily, or at all, but the fact that it was being done on purpose and trying to be funny, well, wasnt very funny at all. It just comes across as bad humor whether you are offended or not.

It was just sexual dancing flopping his dong about, and seeing how far he could push the sexual humor. Bruno did have a few good comedy parts, the parts where he was really interacting with people instead of obvious pre planned scenarios. The hunting scene was quite funny, as well as parts of the karate sequence and the national guard scene.

Other than those scenes, this movie is very forgettable. Die hard fans will probably love it, and probably think he is a genius. Not for me.

Bruno was slightly a better movie than Year One, and you would have read how much I hated that that movie. If you missed the review visit http://www.movietrailertalk.com/year-one-review. The best thing that came out of Bruno, I am now off the hook for dragging my wife to Year One. We're now even... Good for me!

HDTV Technology - Why It Is Better

By Kurt Naulaerts

A theater is a great environment to watch movies and unwind since you watch the film in a wide screen with audio that could make you become easily lost in the moment. The picture and the audio is the most fun piece of the theater experience, although, if you could bring that technology in your home at a reduced price, this is definitely something you'd enjoy. Lately, a large amount of American households are starting to be less interested in leaving home to watch movies and that is partly due to the evolution of the home theater system.

A simple home theater is easy to arrange because all you need is a TV which measure bigger than 27 inches (recommended), a DVD or Blue-Ray player along with 3 speakers. That may be enough to give you a home entertainment you are able to enjoy with an almost theatrical experience. Why would I say almost, while I'm sure you desire the exact perception of a movie theater, while there's other equipment you might add to finish the home theater experience which will surely guarantee a cinematic experience right in your own home. You could even still enhance the three essential parts by adding home entertainment furniture " but, all is dependent upon the budget you have made.

The HDTV technological science is so unbelievable as it has given movies and Television shows a brand new visual aspect. All The Same, nothing can be done about one fact, and that is the quality of Television shows remains horrible. A silly sit-com will insult your intelligence in high definition just as easily as it will in general def, if not more and this is where DVRs come in.

Traditional models have been around since about 1999, but in the past few years they have had to be modified to handle high-def content. The technical storage is impressive, the HD-DVR is run by a hard disk drive, which holds more than your desktop PC and can store 35 hours of high def content or 300 hours of general material. The newer models are loaded with other features too, for example, the TiVo Series 3 not only upgrades standard def content for quality improvement, it can also record two channels at the same time, while the viewer might be busy viewing the third channel.

When you connect your HDTV with a Blu-Ray DVD and a HD-DVR, you can finally say au revoir to the annoying TV commercial messages.

Home Movie Theater Lighting

By Marion Jones

Light fittings are things that not many people think about very often. However, the way we light a room can make us feel a certain mood or enhance the atmosphere we want to create in that room. There are many types of light fixtures, fittings, bulbs, shades and stands to suit all areas of the home. That means both indoors and even outdoors where you might want to emphasize some special landscape feature.

Are you planning to remodel a room? In this case, I know it concerns a home movie theater room, because my friend, Owen Jones, told me. I think that you should consider light fixtures as one element to change. For instance, you could start by ignoring the central, overhead incandescent bulb or tube light for sure.

I suggest that you install four or even six small wall-lights. They need not be expensive and come in hundreds of colours and sizes to suit any pocket. The only drawback with wall lighting for your home theater, is that the wires should really be chased into the wall so as not to be visible.

But, you could get around this by buying standard lamps. These are also available in thousands of designs, but they come with two disadvantages: trailing wires and a higher cost. They are easily moveable though. Small, table lamps is a similar alternative, but you may need more electrical sockets.

Once you have decided exactly on what style you want, have a dimmer attached to each either in unison or separately, as you like. You should probably keep one reasonably powerful light at the DVD end of the room just in case the equipment needs seeing to, but it too could be on a dimmer.

The effect can be stunning. And all from just changing the existing light fixtures and fittings. You could even go the whole hog and have an exit sign over the door or a few speciality lights higher up out of line of sight so that they are not distracting " say, a 1970s style lunar lamp and a fibre-optic lamp, for amusement or as a talking point while waiting for the film or snacks to be prepared.

So, whatever style home theater lighting you are thinking of, contemporary or old style traditional, you will find dozens of options to pick from. From different colors to different sizes and styles, there are many. You can find them on the Internet or in home improvement stores. I have made a link to one of my online favourites below.

And, when you do implement the changes, you will see that your home theater has taken on an ambiance all of its own and it will "definitely|guaranteed" enhance your home theater experience. It may be these minor changes, room by room, that make you see your home in a completely different light.

Finally A User Friendly BlackBerry: The Curve 8900

By Allen F. Baker

For years BlackBerry phones have only appealed to one type of consumer. With their vast business applications BlackBerry phones have always been an invaluable tool to anyone working for a large company or in a business setting. With such a specific target audience BlackBerry phones needed a way to reach more people. The new RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 makes that possible. The Curve 8900 takes what BlackBerry phones have been good at and completely revamps it for a new younger media centered audience. This phone will make a great device for business people as well as anyone else looking for an amazing phone with media streaming functionalities.

The RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 has numerous design improvements over many other phones in the BlackBerry family. It is the thinnest phone to date featuring a full QWERTY keyboard. In a world of bulky full QWERTY phones the BlackBerry Curve 8900 is a very welcome addition. The phone was also designed with smooth edges and clean lines allowing it to fit neatly in ones pocket or hand. While the phone is made of plastic it is quite durable. The phone utilizes different paints and finishes to improve its durability. The phone looks better than previous BlackBerry curves as well. It was given a nice modern sleek look which will help it appeal to a wider audience (BlackBerrys are known to be popular among business men and women). The Curve 8900s screen supports 65,536 colors at a 480x360 resolution, which is an amazing display. The phones screen displays color with an extra level of brightness and sharpness that cant be beat by most phones. While the BlackBerry 8900 is smaller than most BlackBerry phones the keyboard is still easy to use. Despite its size typing is very simple. The keys are raised above the phone and feel very tactile. They are even backlit which make typing in the dark easy as well.

There are many features found on this phone that would still make it a great phone for any business person. The Curve 8900 comes with DataViz programmed into it. This application allows users to open and edit Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. Such a feature was available on previous phones but only by downloading an application for it first. One of the new features included is an improved web browser. It now supports full HTML which gives the user a better web surfing experience. Not only is it faster but one can also stream media like downloading music and movies. Not only that but you can watch YouTube clips as well. The Wi-Fi on the phone is a great improvement but the Curve 8900 could have used 3G support.

The RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 features a great camera. It is a 3.2 megapixel lens, which is a big step above the 2 megapixel cameras found on previous BlackBerry phones. The camera takes good picture but the camera didnt perform as well in dark and poorly lit areas. The camera also functions as a camcorder and can record video as well. Similarly the video clarity is equal to that of the pictures. But videos will appear a bit grainy.

The phone performed very well under various tests. The phones microphone does an adequate job of isolating ones voice and prevents any background noise from interrupting the call. The speakerphone worked well also. Callers will sound loud enough through the speakerphone.

The Curve 8900 is a great phone. Anyone who was interested in getting a BlackBerry but deterred away by the lack of media applications of previous phones should seriously consider the Curve 8900. The RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 will please business people as well as everyone else too.

Experience the Magic: Bridge to Terabithia

By James G. Pynn

Friendship -- and stories about friendship -- tends to be a theme that children take with them throughout their lives. One such story is Disneys BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA. The story revolves around two 12-year-old friends who create a world they can escape to -- a world of their own. This virtual kingdom was stunningly depicted by the conceptual artist Dima Malanitchev and brought tot life by the effects wizards at Weta Digital. The director, Csupo, insisted the look and feel of the fantastic elements be realistic and keeping in line with a greater sense of subtlety.

Some critics had feared the film would bypass some of the novels more somber plot devices, but to the credit of director Gabor Csupo, the film tastefully and poignantly involves every facet of the novel. A key facet of BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA is the depiction of a friendship that spans across reality and the veil between this world and another. This film version of the beloved childrens novel of the same name was widely acclaimed for its authenticity.

Adapted for the screen by David Paterson, the son of the novels author, Katherine Paterson, the script provides a marvelous platform for the realization of a great film. It was faithfully adapted and lovingly brought to life. With only a few minor adjustments for the visual nature of the medium, the film is a shining example of how a novel should and could be adapted for the screen. This is in no small way an indication of both Csupo and Patersons dedication to the tenements of the novel.

This is a film that can be enjoyed by audiences both young and old. The film was lauded with critical acclaim, box office glory, and a series of prestigious awards. Indeed, this triple accomplishment is no small feat and is reflective of the brilliance of Csupos direction. Completed for $20 million, the film garnered more than $120 million worldwide, designating it as something of a rarity: a hit. The film virtually swept the Young Artist Awards, sponsored by the prestigious Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Shot in Auckland, New Zealand, the film balances the realities of everyday life and the imaginative world created by its characters. Jesse Aarons, played by Josh Hutcherson, and Leslie Burke, played by AnnaSophia Robb are the friends at the center of this luminous story. These relative newcomers provide a convincing and moving portrait of young friendship and possibly the budding of young love. Indeed, as another of its taglines suggests: close your eyes, but keep your mind wide open.
